A few months I ago published a story on Nifty only to retire it very quickly, to allow a rewrite as it was sometime since I created this story. When the world remembered one hundred years since the start of the great war the story idea originally born and has remained on my computer ever since. I started to think of my background, my family were all miners during the great war and all hail from Yorkshire.

 

It got me thinking... what if during the Great War the workers (Miners) met the ruling classes... who would win? We know history would have us think that the ruling classes win, but what if one of them was evacuated in the war to live with a miner and his family. Who would win then?

 

The story starts with Myles Kaylock, grandson of Lord Vimbaston, and the people that influence his life. We see an empire being built and a creation of a legacy. A legacy of a family ... a miners family.

 

We jump forward a few years and with poetic licence find ourselves in England with the ancestor of Myles... The Marquis!

 

All will be revealed.
